Arindam Basu

Partner

Arindam has been involved in fundraise advisory and investment banking for 17 years, working on IPOs, M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions. He spent most of his career between the finance hubs of New York, London and Bombay with Lehman/Barclays, before ultimately co-founding Basic Roots.

Arindam also focuses on Sustainable Finance as a theme and previously served as an MD for UK-based Bankers without Boundaries. Outside of work, he is passionate about music, history, horology, football, and everything Route 66.

Sonal Biyani

Partner

Sonal has been an investment banker for 14 years (raising capital through IPOS, PE and more recently VCs), B2B textile business operator for 3 years and was moonlighting as a standup comedian for 5 years.

She loves decoding business models, adding strategic value to technology companies. She is passionate about women workforce participation. She firmly believes that dancing can dispel all gloom in life.

Minali Bafna

Associate

Minali Bafna has over 8 years of experience in equity research and business analysis, having worked with leading firms in the industry. She previously served as an Equity Research Analyst at Marcellus, where she covered global and Indian consumer sectors and the BFSI sector, gaining a deep understanding of the industries.

In her earlier roles, she worked at a Tata subsidiary, where she was responsible for financial analysis and developing Annual Operating Plans. A qualified Chartered Accountant and CFA charterholder, she possesses strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of the financial and consumer sector.

Sachin Ladha

Senior Analyst

Sachin has over 3 years if experience as an Investment Professional. Prior to that he has also worked in the domain of auditing and taxation.

Prior to joining BRC, Sachin has worked in the early stage investments team at 360One Wealth and then joined Avinya Ventures, a sector agnostic early stage fund. He has invested in 8 companies at these two funds across consumers, manufacturing, robotics, and construction tech sectors.
